Thank you for reading and enjoy!!  Margaret’s: “He made Him Who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” --1 Corinthians 5:21 Isabella’s:  “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart, I have overcome the world.” --John 16:33   Dom's: “In peace I will lie down and sleep.” --Psalm 4:8 Lily’s: “Some put their trust in horses and some in chariots, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”  --Psalm 20:6 Caleb’s: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. Frequently Asked Questions About Foster Care

Image
Hello! We’ve been wanting to do a post on frequently asked foster care questions for a while. We’ve both noticed that people often don’t know much about the system, and we want to help change that!   After asking around, 10 people had various questions that we did our best to answer. If you’re one of these people, thank you so much for asking them! They’re all really good questions, and some of them were hard to answer. We’re so sorry if they aren’t answered exactly the way you were picturing. With this topic, it’s often hard to answer straight-forwardly. If anyone has more questions for us, we’d be happy to answer them in a future post! Just leave them in the comments. We’d love to hear them! Thanks for reading!  Lily: Hello everyone! We’re so excited that we get to answer all of these amazing questions! Here’s a bit of background about my foster care experience before we begin. I told a lot about this in my Finding Joy in Grief testimony, which is a separate post tha...

The Importance of Prayer

Image
Hello everyone! During this time of distress and worry, prayer is an essential tool that we should be using daily. Prayer is not just folding our hands and closing our eyes; it’s talking with God. He is the one who is guiding you and protecting you, so he should be the one that you look to for help in your anxiety, not friends or family!  “For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family on heaven and on earth derives its name.” ~Ephesians 3:14-15 Prayer is an amazing privilege that we often take for granted. When we pray, we are communicating with the God of creation who made the universe and who made us. He has given us free access to Himself and talking to Him should not be taken lightly. “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ.” ~1 Thessalonians 5:17 On the flip side, God has called us His children. We can come to Him and tell Him anything and everything- He is our daddy...

See The Light--Lily and Mara

Image
Poetry by Mara C.  Drawings by Lily W.  SEE THE LIGHT It’s another day and it all feels the same So full of sadness, once I awake Honestly I just want to give up sometimes  Because nothing feels right And it’s all I can do to see the light. But there’s a meaning When I can’t find my way And even on the ugliest days When the world is so dark I have to trust in You Even when that’s the most that I can do. I know there’s a purpose Even when I can’t see And I’m just sinking in apathy But I know one day You’ll make everything right And You can help me to see the light. I guess I have the strength for another day Because there’s a meaning When I can’t find my way.

How To Be A Great Pen Pal

Image
Introduction            Hello! This is Alayna and Lily here, and we are two pen pals who are getting to know each other better and better through letters and letters! We both have other pen pals as well, and we love writing and putting together letters. Here are some tips to help you enjoy it as much as we do! You don’t have to make it as involved as we do, but all these things make penpalling extra fun in case you are looking for boredom busters or other fun things to put in a letter!  5 Ways To Enjoy Pen Palling For A Low Cost     1. Watch The Amount Don’t put all the stuff in one letter! For example, if you put a tea bag in one, it may be wise to wait and put a bracelet in your next one. Otherwise it may get too fat, and require two stamps. 2. Use Caution In Mail Tag Be careful what you ask for while playing mail tag, and keep it simple! Don’t overdo it, or ask for things ...
