About-Intros

Hello! This blog is devoted to those struggling with or affected by COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus. The (mostly) teen contributors are here to try to encourage you through this rough time. "AO," as in our blog name, stands for Ambleside Online, a Charlotte Mason based community of homeschoolers.

The teens introduce themselves here. Each one uses a different color of text to identify themselves.

Hello to all! My name is Charity, and I am one of the teen contributors to this blog. I am a homeschooler, Christian, writer, artist, and I love cats and coffee! (Which I think is the best combination of all time.) I am striving to become a better leader and grow in my love for Christ, and I love helping others!
We are writing this to give you all encouraging messages through this time of hardship with the Coronavirus. I am going through this with you, Christ is here with you. And I just want you to know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE, we are all in this together guys! Hope to see you around! -Charity

Hi to all that see this! My name is Layla, I too am one of the contributors of this teen blog. I am a writer, homeschooler, and an introvert to the max. I want you all to know just like Charity said (and I quote.) "You are not alone," I know people who are sick and I want you to know that through this time of suffering you are never alone! Remember that 'cause God knows, and he’s got a plan for all this. So like I said not too long ago… Remember that. Hoping that you never lose hope. -Layla

Hello everybody!! My name is Sophia, and I’m yet another one of the teens contributing to this blog! I am a poet, an actress, a homeschooler, and a somewhat overly obsessed Taylor Swift fan. I just wanted to let you all know that this isn’t forever. This is just a season that we will, eventually, get through. It’s just like the song “Seasons of Love” if any of you have heard it. This is not the end. I’m praying that all of you stay safe and that you are given peace in this stressful time! -Sophia

Hello all, I’m Mara, another teen contributor to this blog, and a writer, poet, artist, and homeschooler. I just want you to know, we’re all in this together! This is a time of uncertainty and suffering for everyone, but as Layla said, God’s got a plan in all this. Stay strong everyone, you aren’t alone. Praying for all of you! -Mara

Hullo, y’all! I’m Micah, yet another teen, and I like to read and stuff. I’m praying for you in these times of hardship. Remember, like 2nd Corinthians 4:16-18 says, the physical oppression we’re going through is temporary, and in the end, God is making things work out for us and renewing us spiritually. Hang in there, and stay in prayer. God is on your side! -Micah

Hello, Everyone! I’m Kessa. ANOTHER teen contributor! I’m a book writer and homeschooler. I would love to be able to personally help every single human being, but I sadly can’t. I’m praying for everyone in this time of desperation. But while I  am writing this I’m thinking of the song We Believe by Newsboys. It has reminded me that even in this time of doubt and fear God is our only foundation and we should rest on him. I’m praying for this to end, but we don’t know when it will. I just want to help others and be a little light of hope. We love everyone and want to help them. But stay safe and remember God is with you through it all! -Kessa

Hello friends! I’m Bella, yet another teen contributor to this blog! I am a Jesus-following dancer, writer, and reader. I know that everyone reading this has been affected by everything going on right now. My hope is that this blog will be a place where you find encouragement during this time. I’m praying for you guys! -Bella <3

Greetings and salutations to all who are taking the time to read this! I am Hannah, the 'not so much a teen' of this group. Also, I think I'm the exotic Australian or something. Like many of the teens here, I am a writer. Writing is my obsession. And it's what gets me through such an interesting time as these we live in. Times that are scary, and somewhat confusing. None of us really have it all together, or understand exactly what's going on, am I right? Hopefully my writing and the writing of others in this blog can give you a break from the stress of day to day life. A relief from the overwhelming confusion. I'm hoping that we can bless you with this. Stay safe friend.
Peace be with you and your family.
xo Hannah

Hi everyone! I am Lily, another contributor to this awesome blog! I am a music-lover, story-writer, and a Jesus-follower!! I hope that this blog is encouraging to all those going through hard times right now. Please know that God will be with you, no matter what happens to our daily schedule. Many people are thinking of this as a curse, but we should view it as a blessing from God, for He is working all things out for our good, and ultimately for His glory. -Lily

Hello, all! I’m Margaret, yet another teen contributor! I am a reader, writer, musician, and extroverted-introvert. Like Lily said, this isn’t a curse! God has brought this to us, and, as Romans 8 says, he is working all for our good and we will not -- and cannot! -- be separated from his love. May God bless you all!
-- Margaret

Hi! I’m Nate, another teen. I enjoy making music and reading, along with a lot of other random hobbies that come and go a lot. Since everyone else said something encouraging about COVID-19, I guess I probably should too. We can get through this. It is worth thinking of men and women like the apostle Paul, Amy Carmichael, and David Livingstone, who suffered through so much to spread the gospel. Also the martyrs, who spent their lives trying to help other Christians and defending their faith. Sure, these are troubled times, and we will get hit by this pandemic, but our faith in God and our surety in him can get us through this time.
-Nate

Hola, internet! My name is Dom, and I’m (wait for it) a teen contributor to the blog (betcha never saw that coming). I like doing a lot more things than I can possibly list here, but I can say right now that Corona, though frustrating me to no end, has helped me find time to do all those things more. Never a better time than when you’re stuck at home! We shall be victorious, and we shall see the light at the end of the tunnel. In the meantime, look at all this stuff that’s in the tunnel! -Dom

Hallo, readers! I’m Randy, yet another highschooler! As so many others have told me before, this is a wonderful time to be in prayer and seeking Jesus Christ. That’s something I struggle every day to get myself to do, but it is always worth it. He is the light in the darkness, and these times—the hard times—are the times that bring forth the greatest, strongest, most enduring characters. That’s what this era needs: enduring characters. I have been studying Abraham Lincoln and Booker T. Washington in school, two men whose lives began in hardship. They had to fight—and keep on trying, defeat after defeat—to make it to somewhere beautiful, and once they got there, they helped other people do the same. They left us a legacy that will not be forgotten. God can and will use these times for good, and He wants to use us too. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Onward, friends. Ever onward.

--Randy :)

G’day! I’m Tabitha; (Tah-Bee-Tha, not Ta-bih-tha) and I, like most of these other awesome peeps, am a highschooler with an intense love of reading, books, music, crochet, history, cool survival and self defence tips and tricks, movies, cheezels, and chocolate; as well as a myriad of side topics and threads I dont have space to include here! As an INFJ I must say that being in lockdown isn’t as hard for me as a lot of people; and is actually a lot like my normal holidays. However; my deepest sympathies and concerns go out to those people who have family members sick or are struggling to stay busy during lockdown. But as one of my favourite quotes says; “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light”. God Bless to you all as we go through this. “Courage, Dear Heart!”, Aslan. -- Tabitha.

Uh, hello,  I’m Caleb, yet another Christian Teen. I am a massive fan of LOTR and most well written fantasy books, and probably some not so well written ones as well. I’m not in highschool quite yet (I will be in July), but most of my friends are. I’m an INTP-T and 8w7 Enneagram. Some of my favorite foods include pizza, hamburgers, pizza, most junk food, pizza, pasta, pizza, most breads, and finally, pizza.

Hello! I’m Alayna, another you-know-what. I’m an extreme introvert and enneagram type 4w5. I’m in 9th grade and I love reading, writing, art, flora and fauna, and a good cup of tea. Jesus has changed my life and I’m so excited to share with you what He’s done! I hope you are encouraged as you read these blog posts by my friends and I as we try to glorify God with our lives. -Alayna

Good morning, afternoon, or evening, my friends! I'm Karissa, YET another AO teen. I'm still enjoying my journey learning about the world through books and people and just… thinking about stuff. I love good music, vivid books, nature, and anything with a good plot twist! I'm an enneagram type 1. I hope you're blessed by this blog in some way! Yours in hope + love, Karissa

Hi, I am Clarissa! (Groot?) ;P A you-know-who, and sort of Harry Potter fan I guess. I enjoy many random things, and just random things in general, even though I feel like it’s heresy sometimes since I’m supposed to be an INFJ. I also like psychology, good friends who go with the convo flow, and creative expression of many sorts. Math loves to hate me. Although sometimes I find myself liking Algebra because Algebra is relatively pointless unless you are a highschooler who got dumped into Chemistry one day. Hum. I suppose I also like writing Nouns like I am that Jolly Chap John Adams. Or at least from that time. (Hm, I wonder looking back on this if the Adjectives would be too…? Maybe. Oh well.) I am also a Christian, whatever that means, now. I suppose it means that I try to do my best/His best through me as often as possible. Preferably all the time. And it also means that I like personal/Spiritual growth through and for Him. Which I suppose means I should go work in the kitchen and pretend that I am Very Practical. Which oops there’s those dishes again. Oh, and literature is amazing. G’day and G’bye! -Clarissa
