Sweet Breath of Hope

A Sweet Breath of Hope

By Charity

Night has fallen,
The stars are out,
Shadows lengthen,
The moon shrouded from view,
Dark times have come,
But for how long, no one knows.

We will see the light eventually,
Though the hours drag on and on.
Do not be scared,
Do not hold your fright,
God is with us,
He will bring back the sun to us,
Soon, away from the night.

Remember the trees adorned in leaves?
The dawn of an early breeze?
The wet pearls of the morning?
The waking call of the birds?
Soon, it shall come again,

A sweet breath of hope.
